Sunset by the Firepit.

Walk up the hill and enjoy the sunset or a fire in the Shawwood Firepit as the evening cools down. You can use the BBQ plate over the fire to cook some dinner or just enjoy a sunset drink or two. There are plastic chairs and there is a picnic blanket and plastic glasses (above the fridge in most villas). If you are infirm, you are welcome to drive up to the top of the hill.

Meet the Horses

Zara and Cruz the resident horses are there to pat and sometimes if they have not been overfed during school holidays, give a carrot or apple to.

Meet the Animals

Sheep, alpacas and cows are all around the property perimeter.

Kangaroos will often be seen especially in the early morning or early evening.

Keep and eagle eye out for birds especially fairy wrens

You’ll have to be really lucky to see a sly fox or hare but they are there.

Shawwood Sculptures

There are over 25 sculptures to discover. All sculptures have been purchased over many years at the Rosby “Sculptures in the Garden” event held every year in October in Mudgee.

Enjoy a BBQ or a cheese platter outside your Villa with beautiful garden views or views over the property and the hills and town.
