Shawwood Barrel Room

The full Mudgee experience - will definitely be back again and will recommend to others :) Positive: Amazing experience, everything was ready to go/access on arrival. Communication with the hosts was fantastic, they were understandable when we had car problems and almost couldn't make it. Met the hosts on the property, very friendly and accommodating. Location of the property is fantastic if you're looking to visit the wineries and local town in Mudgee, very close to everything - 5-10 minute drive. Will definitely be back again :)

We stayed in the Barrel Room for two nights and absolutely loved it. Gorgeous interior and finishings, with everything we needed for our stay. Thanks Melissa and Charles! We would love to come back.

Incredible accommodation, highly recommend! Positive: It was a beautiful, spacious accomodation on a huge and quiet property. We had 2 large dogs with us and we always felt safe and comfortable. Dogs had a great time sniffing around, and we loved just staying in at night relaxing in the gorgeous space. Very close to town, too. The guest portal made everything so easy to understand, and we really appreciated the little touches ☺️ Negative: Leaving!! We want to come back.

Positive: Location was great. The property was very well done and all things in there were well thought out. We had a comfortable stay.

Pleasant, modern and clean Positive: Clean and modern Bathroom and kitchen exceptional. The under floor heating in the bathroom was amazing! Lovely to have the generous wine and chocolates gifts, that was a really nice and unexpected touch Bed comfortable Negative: Not very homely feeling due to the large open living dining space with smallish furniture, particularly the dining table Wardrobe tiny. Was ok for 2 nights but not if you wanted to stay for longer. Maybe adding a chest of drawers would help with that. No tea bags, just tea leaves No milk frother for Nespresso machine Light streamed in under blind at top of bed. This meant we were woken by sunlight from 6am Would have liked body lotion in the bathroom Nearly got locked out twice as the outside door handle needed pushing up when entering, then down. A little tricky. No enclosed area/garden or private outside space apart from next to the car port
