Shawwood Cottage

We loved staying in the cottage. Everything was perfect. It is so quiet and peaceful and the cottage met all our needs. Sitting outside in the sun watching the horses was perfect.

Beautifully appointed accomodation. Very spacious and so comfortable. Would love to stay again and intend to. Lovely property and so relaxing. Will be recommending it to friends travelling through the area. Great detailed communication from the owners re directions, food and attractions in the Mudgee area. Thank you for a lovely stay !

Very comfy. Positive: Great place to stay. Highly recommended. Spotless and very comfortable. Great fireplace and beautiful outdoor area. The king size bed was very comfortable. We didn't use the kitchen but looked well stocked with cooking utensils. Great communication with Melissa. Negative: Minor negative. There are around five separate accommodation options at Shawwood and we stayed in "The Cottage." Directly next door is "The Cellar Door" accommodation. We found that the bathroom electric extraction fan in next doors accommodation was quite loud in the main bedroom of our accommodation. I can only guess that the fan shares the same ceiling space and we were woken by the fan noise whenever next doors guests used the bathroom. Not a huge negative but worth mentioning.

Awesome venue, stoked it was dog friendly. Positive: Everything. Loved it. Negative: In my opinion the photos make it seem like its in the middle of a paddock on its own, when in reality its all but attached to some other accomodation/buildings. Made no difference to us in our circumstances but I had a laugh at the exptactions vs reality.

Probably our 4th time staying at Melissa and Charles's beautiful accommodation. Close to town and never disappoints. Thank you again for making our stay seamless and easy. Country hospitality at its finest. Thank you again.
