What a lovely quiet place to stay. Everything was perfect.

Fabulous, comfy, peaceful stay, great for a family weekend Positive: Really lovely family 2 night stay in ‘The Cottage’, very welcoming, comfortable, relaxing and peaceful. Bbq was really handy, full size fridge, laundry was handy also Negative: Perhaps a few pantry items, eg. Glad wrap, alfoil, tomato sauce Also there are mixing bowls but no salad bowls and only one set of salad servers. One of the large white plastic platters is past its prime also

Beautiful and peaceful getaway Positive: Such a gorgeous property with beautiful decor, comfortable furniture, peaceful surrounds, and everything we needed to unwind and rest.

My husband and I enjoyed the cottage at Shawwood for our long weekend in Mudgee. It was a perfect spot for us to unwind and was welcoming to our pup Murphy. It’s got everything you need for a short or longer stay. Melissa and Charles were great hosts and I’d recommend this for anyone wanting a getaway. Make sure to buy some carrots to feed the horses!!

Very close to city center, great firepit and plenty of space for everyone. We really loved the outdoor area and the overall atmosphere. A very enjoyable and relaxing stay.
