Shawwood Cottage

The pros definitely outweigh the limited cons, we had a magnificent time unwinding and enjoying ourselves to the fullest Positive: Gorgeous views and very convenient stay! We stayed in 'the cottage' and were impressed from the get-go. The rooms were aesthetic and comfortable. Exploring the grounds was always very exciting - from the forest walk and climbing the hill to the bonfire, to fruit trees and meeting the horses. There was plenty to do at a laid-back pace. Enjoying the sunrise with a cup of coffee at the front of the cottage was the perfect start to all our mornings. Would visit again and again. Negative: Found a couple of bugs in the un-used loft bedroom and ants in the bathroom. The second bedroom could've done with air-conditioning/fan as it got quite hot, but the master bedroom and living room were very comfortable.

Shawwood Cottage is Peak Mudgee. Large, well appointed, comfortable, kitted out with everything you need for a wine region holiday and - importantly - perfectly located. The property sits just far enough out of the Tidy Town Award-worthy Mudgee (less than 10 minutes drive) to be in the countryside and within minutes of some of the best wineries ...the nearby Lowe Family Wine Co has a to-sigh-for setting, nifty wines and luncheon platters that'll lure you back. Go on, choose Shawwood Cottage - you know you deserve it.

Luxurious cottage with beautiful garden on a farm near Mudgee Positive: The property was absolutely perfect for a family. We took our cavoodle dog and she really enjoyed it. There was enough room for us all and the outdoor area was beautifully done, as well as the interiors. There was a lovely bench swing outside to enjoy having a glass of wine and looking at the stars. It was so close to Mudgee but far enough away from all the noise. We loved doing the forest walk and seeing the horses. I would highly recommend this as a perfect stay in Mudgee for a family or couple. Negative: Nothing

We loved staying in the cottage. Everything was perfect. It is so quiet and peaceful and the cottage met all our needs. Sitting outside in the sun watching the horses was perfect.
